At this week's DEMO@15! conference, Convoq Inc. announced the release of ASAP Express, a free Web conferencing tool for two-person meetings. The service, available for business and personal use, lets users conduct unlimited free one-to-one Web meetings featuring VoIP audio, video, text chat, screen sharing, PowerPoint, and file transfer.
One of the features of the service is ASAP Links, presence-enabled links that ASAP Express users can publish in e-mails, Web sites, or blogs. These links show customers or colleagues the user's online availability, giving recipients the ability to request an ad hoc meeting with him or her. This feature is particularly useful for sales representatives, who can respond immediately to prospects' inquiries with a one-on-one presentation.
"Convoq has designed ASAP Express to address the challenges previously faced with Web conferencing solutions. The tool is easy to acquire, enables users to easily meet, and is easy to share with colleagues, requiring no install to participate," Convoq CEO Chuck Digate said in a statement.
ASAP Express is available now for download at www.convoq.com. The service is free for unlimited two-person conferences, and users can add individual participants to a meeting for 15 cents a minute. Convoq also offers ASAP Pro, which provides unlimited meetings of up to 15 people for $250 a year.
