The system provides voice over IP audio, video, text chat, screen sharing, PowerPoint demonstrations and file transfer capabilities. ASAP Express is a slimmed down version of the company's ASAP Pro system for one-to-one meetings. The company first launched ASAP during last year's Demo conference.

In reality, they were forced to connect different types of hardware from various vendors because the different branches of the military used different hardware. Some used IBM, while others used Unisys or DEC.
TCP and IP were the protocols they developed.
